THE ROLE:
Our site in Bloomington, MN is seeking a part-time Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team.
This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting material control processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The Inventory Advisor will perform cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, process inventory transactions, and partner closely with warehouse, manufacturing, planning, and procurement teams to ensure materials are available and accurately reflected within inventory systems.
THIS POSITION IS PART-TIME; 20-32 HOURS/WEEK. PREFERRED SCHEDULE IS MONDAY-FRIDAY WORKING HOURS ON EACH DAY. WORKING HOURS ARE FLEXIBLE.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Conduct scheduled cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Research, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Process inventory transactions within SAP, including adjustments, transfers, receipts, and material movements.
Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce inventory variances.
Collaborate with warehouse, production, planning, and procurement teams to reconcile inventory issues and maintain material availability.
Review inventory reports and identify trends, shortages, excess inventory, and potential process concerns.
Support annual physical inventory activities, including preparation, counting, reconciliation, and reporting.
Verify material locations and accuracy of inventory records within warehouse and manufacturing areas.
Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company procedures and audit requirements.
Assist with inventory-related projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
Support training efforts by reinforcing inventory control best practices and standard operating procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
WHAT WE SEEK:
Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or a related field preferred.
Experience with SAP or other inventory management, ERP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and data analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across functional teams.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds periodically.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required while performing duties in warehouse or manufacturing areas. This may include safety glasses, safety shoes, and other required equipment.
Must be able to frequently bend, reach, carry, and move materials throughout the facility.
Must be able to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and cleanroom-adjacent environments as required.
May occasionally be required to operate material handling equipment following appropriate training and certification.
This role involves occasionally working in a clean-room environment which may require additional hygiene requirements such as not using or wearing makeup, perfumes, colognes, or other strong fragrances.

Compensation: $23-$27 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
