About the position:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse (Education) with a passion for clinical teaching and facilitation. Our ideal candidate will have experience in Education, Oncology and Haematology to join our Education Team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside.

This role is a Level 2 Clinical Nurse permanent, part-time position of 32 hours (0.4 FTE) per fortnight.

Reporting to the Education Manager, the Clinical Nurse (Education) is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for promoting clinical excellence and staff development. This role supports the department’s vision of delivering evidence-based care through continuous learning and professional growth by addressing both organisational and learners' needs. 

You will be responsible for all aspects of clinical education and training within the Oncology and Haematology environment including inpatient and outpatient areas supported by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will further include providing excellent person-centred development of staff, assessment of clinical skills, assisting with clinical education events and support of other education activities within the hospital in close collaboration with other members of the clinical education team.

At St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside, we have over 1,000 dedicated and skilled staff who treat nearly 35,000 people a year, delivering safe and high-quality care to all our patients. Our hospital has 227 beds, 9 operating theatres, 2 cardiac catheter laboratories, a 17-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Day Oncology Unit, Breast Health Centre, Endoscopy Unit, Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and a 24-hour, private emergency centre provided by Brisbane Northside Emergency.

Things that work for us:

• Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Oncology and Haematology

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a clinically based education role (desirable)

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current, and /or working towards)

• Postgraduate qualification in clinical specialty (desirable)

• Postgraduate qualification in clinical teaching, and/or education in a healthcare setting, or equivalent (desirable)

Remuneration:

The position of Clinical Nurse (Education) in addition to our competitive salary packaging options, is a Classification/Grade with a base remuneration of $58.97 - $63.18 + superannuation based on experience level and relevant qualifications, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
