What you'll do...
Role summary:The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Technician collaborates with management and team members to deliver efficient service, leads and mentors less-experienced staff, and manages service calls using digital tools. Adherence to company policies and standards is essential to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do:
- Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels, ensuring compliance with building codes.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct inspections and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations, including refrigerant handling protocols.
- Lead and mentor field teams, providing technical guidance and promoting safety practices.
- Manage service calls, documentation, and coordinate with external providers as needed.
- Operate company vehicles safely to support service operations across multiple locations.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
- Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
- Capability to lead field teams and mentor technicians on technical and safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills to explain technical issues and service outcomes to customers.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
