KBR’s greatest asset is our people. We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and relationship-focused Human Resources Business Partner to join our Team of Teams within the Sustainable Technology Solutions Americas business segment.

The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing comprehensive HR partnership while driving employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and business performance.  This role will provide support to approximately 500 employees across the Wilmington office and designated client site locations, aligning people strategies with business objectives and operational goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees

• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and change management, while balancing employee advocacy with business needs

• Build collaborative partnerships with leaders, employees, and cross-functional stakeholders to foster employee engagement, inclusion, team effectiveness, and a high-performing culture

• Coach and influence managers on leadership effectiveness, succession planning, employee development, organizational change, and the consistent application of company policies and employment practices

• Promote integrity, accountability, total inclusion, equal opportunity, and compliance with employment laws and company requirements

• Lead and support HR programs and initiatives

• Establish objectives, manage priorities, coordinate resources, monitor progress, and deliver results aligned with business strategy

• Help leaders and employees navigate organizational change, business transformation, and evolving workforce needs

• Develop and deliver effective employee and leadership communications, presentations, reports, and workforce insights that drive engagement, understanding, and informed decision-making

• Leverage workforce metrics and business data to identify trends, assess organizational needs, and recommend practical solutions that enhance organizational performance and employee experience

• Support business health, safety, environmental, and security objectives

• Maintain partnerships with HR Centers of Excellence

• Uphold the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or related field

• 7 + years of Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Business Partner

• Proven ability supporting diverse employee populations within complex business environments

• Highly proficient with key HR disciplines including employee relations, performance management, talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, compensation, recruiting, and change management

• Established competence to build credibility and influence leaders at all organizational levels through strong relationship management, coaching, consulting, and business partnership skills

• Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, ethical decision-making, inclusion, and fostering a respectful workplace culture aligned with organizational values

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information and tailor messaging to diverse audiences

• Strong planning, organizational, project management, and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Ability to adapt to changing business needs, navigate ambiguity, and provide practical solutions that support organizational objectives and employee success

• Highly competent with leveraging workforce data, metrics, and business insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement

• Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain professionalism, and effectively manage sensitive employee matters while demonstrating a customer-focused mindset

• Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Strong knowledge and understanding of HRIS systems, preferably Workday and MSD

• EPC industry experience preferred
