The University is now looking for a high caliber professional to lead the Electrical Division of Building Services (Operation & Maintenance) Team.
The appointee will manage all aspects of Electrical installation, including both administrative and technical support on the operation and maintenance of the Electrical installation including low voltage (LV) power distribution systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), emergency generators, lighting systems, extra low voltage (ELV) installations, lifts and escalators, solar PV systems, EV chargers and energy management system etc. to ensure they are operated and maintained in a safe, reliable and efficient manner.
The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
- Lead the in-house team and service contractors.
- Conduct regular system audit/review and update manual, maintenance procedures to ensure service quality and work standard.
- Maintain work order log according to service level agreement.
- Design and prepare tender documents and work/purchasing orders including specifications and drawings for repair, maintenance, addition and alternation works, improvement and upgrading works.
- Liaise, communicate and coordinate with internal parties, end-users, contractors on the planned maintenance, daily operation, replacement, improvement and upgrading works.
- Manage and administrate the maintenance contracts.
- Maintain budget and resources to achieve the most effective and efficient operation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and safety requirements and create a culture of safety first across all operations.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by seniors.
Applicants should have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related disciplines plus at least 9 years of relevant experience, 4 years of which should be at supervisory level. A good command of both spoken and written Chinese (including Putonghua) and English as well as AutoCAD application is essential. The ideal candidate should have good analytical and organizational skills, strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently. Holding a Registered Electrical Worker (REW) license (Grade B or above) is highly preferred. The candidate shall familiar with the statutory requirements and Code of Practice of building services systems in Hong Kong. Proven track record in property operation and maintenance in Electrical installation in a sizable organization. Holder of corporate membership of professional bodies, such as HKIE, CIBSE and MIET is an advantage. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
