The University is now looking for a high caliber professional to join our Building Services (Operation & Maintenance) Team – BMS Division.
The appointee will provide administrative and technical support on the operation, maintenance, and development of the University's Building Management Systems (BMS) installations, including IoT infrastructure, Fault Detection and Diagnostics Systems, Data Management Systems, etc., to ensure they are operated and maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.
The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
- Supervise in-house staff and service contractors;
- Conduct regular system audit/review and update maintenance procedures to ensure service quality and work standard;
- Design and prepare tender documents and work/purchasing orders including specifications and drawings for repair, maintenance, improvement and upgrading works;
- Liaise and coordinate with internal parties, end-users, contractors on the planned maintenance, daily operation, replacement, improvement and upgrading works;
- Manage and administrate the maintenance contracts; and
- Ensure compliance with statutory and safety requirements and create a culture of safety first across all operations.
Applicants should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines plus at least 5 years of relevant experience, 3 years of which should be at supervisory level. A good command of both spoken and written Chinese (including Putonghua) and English as well as AutoCAD application is essential. The ideal candidate should have good analytical and organizational skills, strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently.
Proven track record in BMS operation, maintenance, and data analytics in a sizable organization is definitely an advantage. Applicants with lower academic qualification but with extensive relevant work experience will also be considered.
Appointment to the position will normally be on two-year fixed term contract basis. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
