What you'll do...
Role summary:The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, configuring control systems, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and performing preventive maintenance. The technician collaborates with management and facility partners to support operational efficiency while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Effective communication, accurate documentation, and the ability to manage work assignments using digital tools are essential. The position also includes participation in on-call rotations and safe operation of company vehicles within assigned regions.

What you'll do:
- Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC systems, building equipment, ductwork, and control components according to technical documentation and codes.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal system operation and reduce downtime.
- Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely while adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, parts usage, and work orders using digital tools.
- Communicate effectively with facility operators and partners regarding service needs and status updates.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support multiple facility locations as required.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing and maintaining HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure accurate installations.
- Skilled in configuring and calibrating building automation and direct digital control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and control-related HVAC issues.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and team members.
- Competence in using digital tools for work order management and scheduling.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles safely.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
