Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The technician collaborates with management and facility partners to support operational efficiency, manages work assignments using digital tools, and participates in on-call rotations. Strong technical skills and EPA 608 certification are essential to uphold system reliability and contribute to a safe, compliant work environment.

The Facilities team ensures safe, reliable, and fully operational environments across multiple locations. Technicians handle electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues that affect daily operations. This role provides opportunities to develop technical skills across various trades with a focus on safety, accountability, and clear communication. The team fosters professional growth and ownership through collaboration and continuous learning in general maintenance. What you'll do:

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC systems, building equipment, ductwork, and control components following technical documentation and applicable codes.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and necessary repairs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely while adhering to OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, parts usage, and complete work orders and warranty claims.
• Communicate effectively with facility operators and partners regarding service needs and task status.
• Participate in on-call rotations and manage workloads using digital tools and scheduling systems.

What you'll bring:

• EPA 608 Technician Certification demonstrating expertise in HVAC systems and refrigerant handling.
• Proven ability to install, configure, and maintain HVAC equipment, ductwork, and control components.
• Skilled in interpreting technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Proficient in using hand tools and digital systems for work order management and parts tracking.
• Strong commitment to safety, adhering to OSHA standards and company protocols.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and team members.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
