What you'll do...
Role summary:The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The technician collaborates with management and partners to support operational needs, adheres to safety and regulatory standards, and utilizes digital tools for work coordination and documentation. This position requires a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement while supporting facility performance across multiple locations.

The Facility Services HVAC team is dedicated to maintaining and servicing HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and comfort across multiple locations. Team members perform preventive maintenance tasks such as filter changes and condenser cleaning, while adhering to safety and operational standards. They collaborate closely with management and facility operators to address service needs efficiently. Utilizing digital tools for scheduling and documentation, the team supports continuous improvement and reliable system operation. This group values precision, accountability, and effective communication to uphold the quality and safety of building environments.
What you'll do:
- Configure and calibrate digital controls, building automation, and low-ambient HVAC applications to meet operational standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance and reduce downtime.
- Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies during all service activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, inspections, parts usage, and work orders.
- Communicate effectively with facility operators and partners regarding service needs and status.
- Participate in on-call rotations and manage work assignments using digital tools and scheduling systems.
- Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls within assigned regions.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure accurate and code-compliant installations.
- Skilled in configuring and calibrating building automation systems and direct digital controls.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and control-related HVAC issues.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and adherence to safety protocols during all service activities.
- Proficient in performing preventive maintenance and system inspections to optimize equipment performance.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and management.
- Capability to manage work assignments using digital tools and maintain accurate service documentation.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
