Training Manager

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 + bonus

About the Company
Our client is a manufacturer in Manchester, Iowa whose production work includes welding, metal fabrication and assembly.
The Role
The Training Manager leads onboarding and ongoing skills and compliance training across the organization, making sure employees in every department are trained efficiently, safely and in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Do
- Build new-hire onboarding schedules and training checklists with department leaders.
- Deliver structured onboarding company-wide, including blueprint reading, hand-held MIG welding technique, assembly procedures and safe equipment use for production roles.
- Administer skills assessments and sign off new hires for independent work after hands-on observation.
- Design and deliver ongoing skills training across all departments.
- Develop and maintain compliance training, including OSHA requirements, PPE, overhead crane operation and hazard identification.
- Track training records, certifications and renewals for audit readiness.
- Coordinate training for new equipment, tooling, systems and process changes.
- Measure training effectiveness and adjust programs, and keep training materials, job aids, SOPs and e-learning current.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business or a related field (required)
- 3-5 years of experience in training, learning and development, or a related role
- Proven ability to design and deliver hands-on technical training across departments
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry compliance requirements
- Basic shop math and the ability to read blueprints and specifications
- Strong organization, including records and certification tracking
- Excellent communication skills across experience levels and shifts
