Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in domestic transportation management, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, compliance, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using transportation management software (Manhattan TMS preferred) and other relevant tools.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Problem-solving skills to address issues related to shipments and transportation.
• Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement efficient domestic transportation strategies to meet organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with carriers and other logistics partners to negotiate rates and service contracts.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Optimize routing and scheduling to minimize transportation costs and enhance overall efficiency.
• Supervise a team of transportation coordinator, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and performance metrics.
• Leverage TMS to optimize routes and transportation methods to enhance efficiency and reduce overall transportation costs.
• Resolve transportation-related issues, including delays, damages, and discrepancies, in a timely manner.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve transportation processes.
• Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to Five Below Ship Center, Store or final destination.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients to provide updates and resolve transportation-related queries.
• Monitor and analyze transportation performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the overall domestic transportation network.
