Description
Are you a hands-on engineer looking to make a direct impact on scalable enterprise systems? Our client is expanding its technology division and looking for two Senior Software Engineers to join their dynamic team in Westlake, Western Cape.
In this role, you will be deeply involved across the entire software development lifecycle—from early business requirement discussions to architecture, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. You will tackle complex technical challenges, modernise core technology platforms, and build robust web applications and APIs that support high-volume enterprise operations.
This position offers a strong platform for personal and career growth, allowing you to work with cloud technologies, refine database performance, and collaborate directly with key business stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on software development experience across the full SDLC.
- Core Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js.
- Database Expertise: Advanced SQL skills with practical experience in PostgreSQL database design and performance tuning.
- Cloud Services: Hands-on experience developing and deploying solutions on AWS.
- APIs & Web Apps: Proven experience building and supporting web applications and enterprise APIs.
- Tooling & Practices: Experience using Git for source control and working within modern DevOps practices.
- Agile Exposure: Solid working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Business Acumen: Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and gather technical requirements directly.
