As a Senior Software Engineer on the Leasing Engineering team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting business-critical leasing platforms. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performing applications across the full technology stack, partnering closely with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, Data Engineers, and fellow engineers to deliver innovative digital solutions that support JLL's global leasing business.

This role requires strong hands-on expertise in full-stack development, cloud-native technologies, API design, data platforms, integrations, DevOps practices and AI-augmented development as a core expectation along with the ability to drive technical excellence, mentor team members, and contribute to architectural decisions.

• Build or contribute to basic AI agents and AI-augmented automation for development workflows, including Test generation and maintenance (frontend and backend) Code scaffolding and refactoring API documentation generation Accessibility auditing and validation Code quality and security scanning
• Actively explore and adopt emerging AI tools and practices that enhance engineering velocity and code quality.
• Contribute ideas and improvements to developer productivity, tooling, and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a balance of frontend and backend development.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems design.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows (pull requests, code reviews).
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools.
