ACCIONA has partnered with Sydney Water and SMEC to form the Malabar System Alliance, delivering a ten-year program to expand and modernise wastewater treatment across Sydney's south and west. The first scheme upgrades the Liverpool and Glenfield Water Resource Recovery Facilities, lifting system resilience and energy efficiency. The design is expected to improve energy efficiency by up to 60 per cent. It's a rare chance to shape critical infrastructure for two million people.
About the Opportunity
As Planner, you will develop and maintain integrated project schedules that keep the Malabar System Alliance on track. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will work closely with engineers, project managers and subcontractors to track progress, flag risks and keep programs realistic and achievable. You will use Primavera P6 to build schedules from first principles, monitor the critical path and report on progress across the design and construction phases. This role offers exposure to a complex, multi-stakeholder alliance environment and a genuine say in how the project comes together.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Primavera P6
Monitor progress and identify variances against baseline
Analyse critical path and flag emerging schedule risks
Prepare progress reports for project and alliance leadership
Coordinate with engineers and subcontractors to validate program data
Support risk mitigation planning across the project lifecycle
Contribute to lookahead and resourcing plans for construction phases
Required Skills and Competencies
Tertiary qualification in engineering or construction management
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
Experience planning on construction or infrastructure projects
Understanding of project controls and scheduling principles
Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills
