The Opportunity
Join a dynamic multinational environment where you will play a key role in supporting tax operations across eight countries in the UAE Operating Countries cluster, including the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Pakistan, Jordan, and Iraq. Based in Cairo, Egypt, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad regional exposure across corporate tax, tax accounting, compliance, reporting, and international tax matters. How you will make an impact
Support the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns, tax computations, and related schedules across multiple countries within the UAE Operating Countries scope.
Assist with tax accounting activities, including current tax, deferred tax, effective tax rate analysis, tax provisions, reconciliations, and audit support.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of tax-related obligations.
Collaborate with finance, accounting, shared services teams, and external tax advisors to gather information, resolve queries, and monitor tax compliance requirements.
Assist with international tax matters, including withholding tax, permanent establishment assessments, cross-border transactions, treaty analysis, and supporting documentation.
Support tax audits, assessments, and tax authority inquiries by preparing data, reconciliations, explanations, and relevant documentation.
Maintain tax compliance trackers and proactively monitor deadlines, escalating risks or issues where appropriate.
Contribute to process improvements, standardization initiatives, and the documentation of tax workflows across the region.
Prepare clear summaries, status updates, and analytical reports for management review.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Business, or a related discipline.
3-5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in corporate income tax, tax accounting, tax compliance, or international taxation preferably in Big Four firm or a multinational organization
Sound understanding of corporate income tax principles and tax accounting concepts.
Experience preparing or supporting tax computations, reconciliations, provisions, and tax return filings.
Exposure to Middle East, GCC, or international tax matters is preferred.
Professional qualification, or progress toward a qualification, such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CTA, or an equivalent certification is advantageous.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with regional and global stakeholders.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with tax schedules, reconciliations, trackers, and supporting documentation.
Willingses to travel across middles east countries.
