Supervisor, Quality Assurance
Your Role and Impact
The QA Supervisor is responsible for supervising the QA assistants to ensure that they are functioning effectively to meet department and company goals in providing excellent quality products to customers
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in plant/process validations and qualifications; ISO9001 / 10CFR50 App B (Nuclear QA Program)
- Lead QA/QC staff to meet the expectations in compliance with the QA programs
- Lead advanced quality planning efforts including customer needs analysis and development of product quality plans
- Assist Regional Quality Engineer and/or Global NPO QA Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Facility Specific quality systems and procedures
- Assist in the evaluation of suppliers and implementation and monitoring of the supplier improvement process
- Monitor and perform auditing functions to assure compliance with systems and procedures
- Coordinate resolution of internal and external corrective actions
- Identify areas for improvement (internal, external, supplier) and develop quality improvement programs utilizing quality tools and statistical techniques
- Develop quality inspection plans to ensure customer purchase orders and contract requirements are met.
- Audit other documents (Bill of Materials, Routers, Work Instructions, etc) to ensure contractual compliance
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Rotating Elements Mechanical/Precision Engineering with minimum of 8 to 10 years working experience in quality or manufacturing environment and at least 4 years’ experience in supervisory level
- Good mathematics skill and good understanding in quality operations and GD&T
- English Proficiency to communicate with overseas stakeholders
- Proficient in handling measuring instrument and tools inclusive of optical flat
- Hands-on experience in setting up QMS or ISO equivalent is a must
- Good knowledge in conducting Internal Audits and Supplier Audits would be an added advantage
- Strong in “DMAIC Lite” in Corrective and Preventive action, CAR system
- Strong in investigating and reporting any customer complaint and issues with quality and conformity.
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance Trained
- Lean Six Sigma, FMEA, 8D & Root Cause & Corrective Actions trained
- ISO9001 Lead Auditor Certified
- Documentation preparation – Certificate of Conformance, Certified Material Test Report, Positive Material
- Identification Test, and 100% inspection report
- Willing to travel overseas or on-site when required
