Dave Hausbeck Trucking (DHT Group) is expanding our Propane & Butane Division throughout the Grand Rapids / Southwest Michigan / Indiana region and hiring qualified CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Drivers now.

$1,300–$2,500+ average gross weekly earnings. $0.70–$0.75 CPM. Paid loading and unloading. Home weekly.

This is not an entry-level driving position.

We're looking for professional drivers who understand the responsibility that comes with hauling propane and butane, take safety seriously, and want specialized tanker work with strong earning potential and weekly home time.

Earning Potential

Average Gross Weekly Earnings: $1,300–$2,500+

• $0.70–$0.75 CPM, based on experience
• Paid loading and unloading

Actual earnings vary based on experience, freight volume, driver availability, routes, and seasonal demand.

Home Weekly — Regional Operation

This is a regional propane and butane position with weekly home time—not a long-haul job that keeps you away for weeks at a time.

• Home every week
• Typical schedule of approximately 5 days on the road followed by 2 days home
• Regional operation serving Grand Rapids, Southwest Michigan, Indiana, and surrounding markets
• One weekend day availability required
• Consistent work during peak propane season

Run regional. Earn specialized tanker pay. Get home every week.

What You'll Do

• Transport propane and butane (UN1075) throughout Michigan, Indiana, and surrounding regional markets
• Load at major propane supply terminals throughout the Midwest
• Deliver safely and professionally to DHT customers
• Load and unload tanker trailers using pumps, hoses, and associated equipment
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate ELD records and Hours of Service compliance
• Follow applicable DOT, FMCSA, customer, and DHT safety requirements
• Represent DHT professionally at terminals and customer locations

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat (H) endorsement required
• Tanker (N) endorsement required; combined X endorsement accepted
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
• Safe driving record
• Ability to meet applicable DOT qualification requirements
• Ability to work safely outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely handle hoses, pumps, and tanker equipment
• Commitment to safe, professional operation
