Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and staff while responding to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
