As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, direction-giving, and access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership, healthcare staff, and emergency responders regarding incidents and observed conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
