Supply Chain Manager

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Supply Chain Manager in the North Houston TX area

Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager leads procurement and logistics to deliver materials on time and at the right cost for manufacturing and project work. This role partners with Project Management, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Manufacturing to improve sourcing, inventory, and cost performance while keeping supply uninterrupted across all company locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supply chain strategy aligned with company objectives; set KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee purchasing of raw materials, fabricated components, consumables, and subcontracted services.
• Build sourcing strategies that reduce risk and cost; negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms.
• Qualify new suppliers, manage vendor relationships, and address performance issues.
• Partner with Operations and Project Management on forecasting, inventory planning, and material availability against production and project schedules.
• Manage domestic and international transportation; coordinate carriers and resolve delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian import/export rules, including HS codes, country of origin, tariffs, anti-dumping and countervailing duties, commercial invoicing, and customs documentation; work with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Identify supply risks and put mitigation plans in place.
• Lead, coach, and develop the procurement and logistics team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, structural steel, construction, or industrial fabrication preferred.
• Experience with U.S. and Canadian supply chains, project-driven procurement, long-lead materials, and international trade compliance preferred.
