About Your Program

You’ll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth. Over 3–6 months, you’ll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates.

Job Summary**

JD.com, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Process Optimization professional to identify, analyze, and improve business processes across various departments. This role will play a critical part in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall operational performance for one of the world's leading e-commerce and retail infrastructure service providers.

Job Responsibilities**

* Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing business processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement using various methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
* Develop and implement innovative process improvement solutions, including process re-engineering, automation, and standardization.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, technology, product, and finance, to gather requirements, understand challenges, and secure buy-in for proposed changes.
* Design and implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of optimized processes and track tangible improvements.
* Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation outlining process analysis, proposed solutions, and realized benefits.
* Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate employees on new processes and tools.
* Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in process optimization and apply relevant insights to JD.com's operations.
* Manage multiple optimization projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, or a similar role, preferably within a large-scale e-commerce, logistics, or technology company.
* Proven expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly desirable), or BPMN.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to identify root causes and formulate actionable recommendations.
* Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro) and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects from conception to completion, including scope definition, resource allocation, and risk management.
* A proactive and results-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a significant plus.
