DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Business Management Lead, located in Norderstedt, Germany.
Job Overview
The Business Management Lead – Selling, Commercial plays a critical role in enabling commercial success by partnering with sales and commercial leaders to drive performance, operational excellence, and strategic execution. This role acts as a trusted advisor to the commercial organization, translating strategy into actionable plans, improving business processes, and ensuring strong governance across commercial activities. The position offers broad exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape how DePuy Synthes delivers value to customers and patients across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with commercial and sales leadership to support strategy development, execution planning, and performance tracking.
Lead business management processes including annual operating planning, forecasting, and cadence reviews for the commercial organization.
Analyze commercial performance, identify trends and risks, and deliver clear insights and recommendations to leadership.
Drive standardization and continuous improvement of commercial processes, tools, and governance models.
Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Sales Enablement to ensure aligned execution.
Support key commercial initiatives and transformation programs, including change management and adoption tracking.
Prepare executive‑level materials, dashboards, and business reviews to support informed decision‑making.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Experience and Skills
Required:
Several years of progressive experience in business management, sales operations, commercial strategy, or a related commercial function.
Experience supporting or partnering with sales and commercial leadership teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution in a matrixed environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
High level of business acumen and understanding of commercial performance drivers.
Preferred:
Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
Exposure to sales enablement, pricing, trade relations, or commercial operations.
Experience supporting regional or global commercial organizations.
Change management or transformation program experience.
Advanced proficiency in business intelligence and reporting tools.
Other:
Language requirements: Fluent in English required; German proficiency strongly preferred.
Travel: Up to 20% domestic and international travel as required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€90,400.00 - €156,975.00
