The Director of Operations role at Soroka & Associates exists to oversee and optimize the non-legal functions of our firm. This vital position supports our mission by ensuring attorneys can focus on legal advocacy while operational efficiencies are maximized through enhanced processes and vendor partnerships. You'll have a lasting impact, driving the seamless coordination of our diverse operational teams, and supporting the firm's growth trajectory.

 

What you’ll do:

• Day-to-Day Operations: Own and oversee the firm’s non-legal day-to-day operations, resolving routine operational and employee matters and reducing the administrative burden on firm leadership.
• Operational Audit: Conduct assessments of current workflows, systems, KPIs, and processes, identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations in partnership with firm leadership.
• Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce administrative burdens, and improve cross-departmental communications.
• SOP Development: Develop, update, and implement standard operating procedures, collaborating with team members to build buy-in and ensure consistent adoption across the firm.
• KPI Management: Review and refine existing KPIs, identify gaps in performance metrics, and improve dashboards and reporting to drive accountability across teams.
• Vendor Management: Own relationships with vendors, ensuring contract compliance and accountability for deliverables.
• Onboarding and Training: Evaluate and enhance the firm’s existing onboarding and training programs, ensuring consistent implementation and an effective ramp-up for new hires.
• Team Management: Provide operational oversight and accountability for non-attorney teams and operational functions  while facilitating weekly team huddles and coordinating agendas with leadership.
• Payroll and Accounting Coordination: Work closely with the firm’s accountants to coordinate payroll and ensure required information is submitted accurately and on time. 

What we’re looking for:           

• Operations Experience: 3–5+ years of relevant operations experience, with demonstrated success leading operational initiatives and improving organizational processes.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for candidates possessing a Master's degree.
• KPI and SOP Expertise: Proven ability to evaluate and refine operational metrics and develop effective standard operating procedures. 
• Vendor Management: Strong experience managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with service agreements.
• Team Leadership: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a collaborative approach to leadership.
• Tech Competency: Technologically proficient, adaptable, and comfortable learning and working across new systems and platforms. 
• Problem Solving: Solutions-focused mindset with an ability to implement changes that improve operational efficiency.
• Change Management: Ability to assess existing practices, gather team input, build trust, and implement necessary changes while maintaining employee buy-in.
