Director of Operations

MB2 Dental, a first-of-its-kind Dental Partnership Organization (DPO) founded in 2007 and headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, is seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to join our growing team.

 

Position Summary

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading the operational, financial, and people performance of a portfolio of dental practices throughout the Pacific Northwest. This leader partners closely with dentist owners, practice leadership teams, and executive leadership to drive growth, improve performance, enhance the patient experience, and execute strategic business initiatives.

 

This is a remote position supporting practices throughout the Pacific Northwest. Regular overnight travel of up to 50% is required.

 

Responsibilities

• Partner with dentist owners and executive leadership to drive operational, financial, and people performance across an assigned portfolio of dental practices.
• Lead, coach, and develop operational leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional patient service.
• Analyze financial statements, operational reports, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Develop and execute strategic action plans to improve profitability, operational efficiency, patient experience, and overall practice performance.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain high-performing team members in partnership with Human Resources.
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold leaders accountable for achieving operational, financial, and people-development goals.
• Lead and support business initiatives, process improvements, and organizational change efforts across the region.
• Partner with corporate departments to implement scalable programs, operational best practices, and growth initiatives.
• Provide regular business updates, recommendations, and performance insights to dentist owners and executive leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and best practices while ensuring compliance with company policies, standards, and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of dental operations leadership experience required.
• Dental practice management or dental operations experience strongly preferred.
• Strong business acumen with experience analyzing financial statements, operational reports, and performance metrics.
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships with executive leaders, business owners, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing remote teams and geographically dispersed operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with strong project management and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 50% throughout the assigned region.
