Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to advance the organization’s analytical capabilities and modernize the FP&A function. This role requires a unique combination of technical depth, financial acumen, and stakeholder leadership. The successful candidate will design and implement enterprise-grade BI solutions, conduct advanced financial analysis, and serve as a strategic thought partner to leaders across the business.

This position will play a critical role in interpreting BMU performance, trends, and category-level insights while driving automation, standardization, and data integration across FP&A. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and capable of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that support executive decision-making.

The Role

Business Intelligence & Data Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI solutions—including data models, semantic layers, and interactive dashboards—optimized for performance through query folding, model size reduction, and DAX tuning.

• Implement Microsoft Fabric components (Direct Lake, Lakehouse, semantic models) and apply Medallion architecture principles (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to deliver scalable, governed analytics.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, validate data integrity using SQL and business rules, and integrate financial, sales, and operational datasets into unified reporting environments.

• Develop advanced DAX measures, KPIs, and business logic aligned with financial and operational requirements.

• Establish and enforce BI development standards, governance frameworks, version control, and documentation practices across the analytics platform.

FP&A & Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop standardized financial reporting frameworks that support forecasting, budgeting, and performance management, translating complex financial and operational data into executive-ready insights and recommendations.

• Lead FP&A modernization through automation, workflow optimization, and adoption of emerging technologies including AI-assisted analytics and Copilot capabilities.

• Implement repeatable, scalable reporting processes that improve accuracy, reduce cycle times, and enhance analytical consistency across the finance function.

• Serve as a primary analytics partner to leaders across Finance & Operations —facilitating requirements gathering, KPI definition, and analytical alignment across business units.

• Lead cross-functional analytics initiatives, ensuring clarity of scope, timelines, and deliverables, and conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to elevate data literacy across the organization.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, FP&A analytics, or related fields.

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including: Data modeling, DAX, Semantic model design, Performance optimization.

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Direct Lake, Lakehouse, or modern data architecture.

• Familiarity with Python for data transformation or automation.

• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, star schema design, and BI governance.

• Strong understanding of financial statements with demonstrated experience analyzing revenue, margin, product/category performance, and operational KPIs.

• Proven ability to translate analytical outputs into strategic business insights and clearly communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional initiatives and effectively prioritizing multiple concurrent projects.
