In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- Demonstrate proficiency in using AI assisted development and analysis tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot and approved code centric agents)
- Leverage AI to accelerate system design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting
- Apply strong technical judgment when validating and integrating AI assisted outputs into solutions
- Understand and account for model limitations, security risks, and operational considerations
- Apply AI responsibly in development and production environments
- Ensure AI usage aligns with security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standards
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Lake, or Analytics solutions.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud-based data engineering and modern data architecture patterns.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and relational database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, or similar platforms.
- 3+ years of experience in ETL/ELT development, data integration, and large-scale data processing.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
- BigQuery
- Cloud Storage
- Dataproc (PySpark)
- Composer (Airflow)
- Pub/Sub
- Dataflow
- IAM Services
- Experience developing data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
- Experience with real-time and event-driven architectures.
- Experience modernizing legacy ETL platforms and migrating workloads to cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of IAM data models, entitlement management, access governance, and cybersecurity data domains.
- Experience supporting Data Lake, Data Mesh, or enterprise analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI data preparation practices.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Agile delivery experience.
- Professional cloud certification (GCP Professional Data Engineer, Cloud Architect, or equivalent)
- Experience building scalable data pipelines, data products, and analytics solutions.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and master data management concepts.
- Experience working within Identity and Access Management (IAM) domains, including Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Access Management, Privileged Access Management (PAM), User Lifecycle Management, and Access Certification and Compliance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Security, Architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise data solutions.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, drive modernization strategies, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
