We are currently seeking a Director of IT who will oversee all parks and hotel technology for Xanterra Travel Collection including hospitality systems, telephony systems, guest technology, operational and IOT systems as well as desktop and IT infrastructure. Works in conjunction with the Chief Information Officer, VP of Infrastructure & Service Delivery, and other IT staff members to coordinate all necessary IT projects/initiatives required for national/state parks and gateway hotels and strategically plans all aspects of the information technology. Oversees the IT staff which supports their assigned park and works with the IT Director/Managers in their region to oversee the day-to-day IT operation.
Responsibilities
- Hires, trains, supervises all IT Directors/Managers in each location as well as conducts annual reviews for the park IT leadership. Sets operational goals for all department managers within each park.
- Performs multiple annual audits per location to evaluate enterprise standards are adhered and related reporting of exceptions and tracking with the location General Manager.
- Partners with the Chief Information Officer and other corporate IT staff to serve as the primary technical liaison between the park and corporate.
- Sets and adheres to departmental operating and capital budgets as well as oversight of hardware and software maintenance contracts.
- Provides strategic direction and tactical implementation plans for acquisition of new systems hardware, upgrades, replacements, rehabilitation and recycling.
- Responsible for server upgrades within the property inventories including hardware, application software, operating systems, peripheral software, and network equipment.
- Oversees evaluations and monitoring of vendor service performance or vendor product performance to ensure availability of optimal system environments.
- Responsible for major systems infrastructure changes including servers, desktops, notebook/laptops, network connection devices and security applications including the adherence to corporate environment standards for purchasing, maintenance and proper disposal/recycling of retired physical assets.
- Provides direction and support for ancillary field operations systems such as credit card processing, timekeeping/labor reporting/labor forecasting, point of sale operations/reporting for Lodging, F&B, retail, maintenance management systems, disaster recovery planning, and energy management systems.
- Responsible for park and hotel project and portfolio management, tracking and visibility partnering with corporate IT staff.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate application development standards, procedures, processes for modification, upgrade, and/or changes to the purchased application products. Responsible for ensuring that all documentation protocols, including change management, help desk management, and others are followed by all members of the region’s IT staff.
- Responsible for parks and hotel specific Enterprise Security Standards, Data Privacy and compliance related projects partnering with the corporate IT staff.
- Provide support and assistance to the Xanterra Incident Response Team as needed and requested.
- Serves as the escalation point of contact for after-hours/non-business hours support as needed through Service Desk or via Park escalation.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works in conjunction with the Chief Information Officer to establish/enforce corporate policy for corporate system software licensing.
- Serves as a technical advisor to the Chief Information Officer and the rest of the Information Technology Leadership Team.
- Works in conjunction with the other Corporate Directors of IT to serve as the organizational and management back-up to the Chief Information Officer.
- Provide support and assistance to the Xanterra Incident Response Team as needed and requested.

Qualifications
- 5 - 10+ years of experience in Information Technology and multi-location experience
- 5+ years in Information Technology project and team leadership role
- Knowledge on Information Technology, Project Management, AI and Administrative Responsibilities organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead remote team members.
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to plan complex system-related projects.
- Working knowledge of various platforms including Windows, SQL, Oracle, and other tools and utilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite of products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or business administration with a concentration in Information Technology, Hospitality Administration and/or Accounting
- Background in hospitality-based IT systems
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
- Knowledge and prior experience with Payment Card Industry compliance and other security compliance requirements.
- Strong Project Management skills
Compensation:
The salary range is $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 based on experience + bonus incentive.
