We are seeking a R&D Engineer on a permanent basis to join our team.

Boston Scientific Neuromodulation technologies help patients manage chronic pain and neurological conditions. Our solutions include WaveWriter Alpha™ Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) Systems to treat chronic pain and Vercise Genus™ Deep Brain Stimulation Systems to treat movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.

You will play a key role focusing on project assignments that drive the innovation and commercialization of complex medical device assemblies. You will work with a talented cross-disciplinary team to support both new and existing products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of design control activities throughout the product lifecycle in in accordance with all regulations governing the quality system
- Contribute to the development, review, and maintenance of design history file (DHF) documentation, including design inputs, outputs, verification, validation, and design review records.
- Assist in the creation and updating of product requirements, specifications, risk management files, and engineering documentation.
- Support engineering change activities and associated documentation within the product lifecycle process.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, product quality, and data integrity in all activities
- Participate in root cause investigations, failure analysis, and product improvement initiatives.
- Familiar with test planning, execution, documentation (GDP), and reporting.
- Support mechanical design activities including concept generation, CAD modelling, drawing creation, and design modifications.
- Assist in prototype development, engineering builds, and product evaluations.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management and Clinical teams
Education & Experience:
- Hons bachelor’s degree (level 8) in engineering or other related technical field or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years medical device industry experience
- Design controls experience
- Test method development and validation.
- Hands-on experience utilizing SolidWorks 3D CAD or equivalent
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
