The Opportunity:
Make a meaningful impact supporting Department of Defense operations as an SAP Functional Consultant on the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS). This is more than just an SAP role—it's an opportunity to modernize critical financial and logistics systems that support our nation's defense mission.

As a trusted functional expert, you'll work with SAP S/4HANA across Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Funds Management (FM), and Sales & Distribution (SD) modules. You'll partner with government stakeholders and technical teams to design integrated solutions that transform how the DoD manages enterprise financial and logistics operations.

Responsibilities:
SAP Configuration & Solution Design

• Configure and implement SAP S/4HANA functionality across FI, CO, FM, and SD modules
• Translate business requirements into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications
• Support end-to-end processes including General Ledger, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Budget Control, Sales Order Processing, Billing, and Pricing
• Ensure seamless integration across finance, supply chain, transportation, and logistics business processes

Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Partner with government stakeholders to improve financial controls, reporting, and logistics operations
• Facilitate Fit-to-Standard workshops, business process reengineering sessions, and solution demonstrations
• Develop comprehensive documentation including Functional Design Documents, configuration guides, procedures, and training materials

Development & Technical Partnership

• Prepare functional specifications for custom developments (RICEFW: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows)
• Collaborate with ABAP developers throughout development, testing, and deployment cycles
• Support master data governance for financial, customer, and organizational data

Testing & Production Support

• Lead unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing activities
• Provide Tier II/III production support and troubleshoot complex issues
• Support data migration, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities

Agile Delivery

• Participate actively in Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Deliver iterative enhancements aligned with mission requirements
• Support release management, deployments, and post-production stabilization

Compliance & Governance

• Support cybersecurity, audit, Authority to Operate (ATO), and compliance activities
• Ensure adherence to DoD financial management policies and federal regulations

Qualifications:

Required: 

• An active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of SAP functional experience in one or more modules: FI, CO, FM, or SD
• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA
• Strong understanding of enterprise financial management and logistics business processes
• Proven ability to write functional specifications for custom SAP developments
• Experience with testing, production support, and system enhancements
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Desired:

• Experience supporting Department of Defense ERP modernization programs
• Knowledge of SAP Activate implementation methodology and Agile software development practices
• Experience integrating FI/CO/FM/SD with MM, TM, EWM, EAM, or GTS modules
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications and modern user experience design
• SAP certification in FI, CO, FM, or SD modules
• Understanding of federal financial management requirements and government accounting standards
• Experience with SAP Master Data Governance, Business Workflow, or Analytics Cloud
• Project management or Agile certifications (PMP, CSM, SAFe)

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300-$189,600
