About this opportunity:
Responsible for day-to-day VAS operations and maintaining service availability for VAS nodes. Own alarm handling, hardware/software/configuration troubleshooting, node configurations for VAS domains, and emergency/outage response. Provide L2/L3 support, coordinate with vendors and global customers, and perform root-cause analysis across network, server, storage and application layers.
What you will do:
- Support PCRF, CGF, UPCC, SAPC, WAPGW, Video Optimization (vMSE), DPI, SMSC/MMSC, Voicemail, MSP and probe elements.
- Troubleshoot network (TCP/IP, Diameter, HTTP, SCTP, MAP, etc.), server (Linux, Solaris) and storage issues (HP blades, EMC, HDS, E9000).
- Administer and troubleshoot F5 load balancer, DNS and AAA services.
- Use shell and Python scripts to automate diagnostics and repeatable tasks.
- Coordinate with vendors and global customers; create incident reports and knowledge articles.
- Validate upgrades and configuration changes in lab and production; participate in 24/7 on-call rotations.
The skills you bring:
- OS: Linux, Solaris
- Strong TCP/IP and protocol knowledge (Diameter, HTTP, SCTP, MAP, TCP/UDP, DNS, SNMP)
- Practical experience with PCRF, UPCC, CGF, SAPC, WAPGW and DPI probes
- F5 load balancer operational knowledge
- Strong communication skills for customer-facing support
Experience and Education
- 4–6 years relevant experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
