Inventory Controller

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Inventory Controllers to manage and oversee vehicle stock and inventory operations for a reputed automobile dealership. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in vehicle inventory management, basic accounting knowledge, and familiarity with pre-delivery inspection (PDI) processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the flexibility to work long hours based in Colombo.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, including stock in-transit, at yard, and ready for delivery
• Coordinate with sales, logistics, and workshop teams to ensure smooth vehicle allocation and delivery
• Track and reconcile vehicle stock against accounting/financial records
• Support and coordinate Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) processes for incoming vehicles
• Maintain and update inventory databases/systems with accurate, up-to-date information
• Liaise with vehicle agents/suppliers on stock movement and documentation
• Prepare periodic inventory and stock status reports for management
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control

Requirements & Qualifications

• Basic accounting knowledge
• Prior experience working on vehicle inventory management with a reputed vehicle agency/dealership
• Age range: 35–40 years
• Good computer literacy (MS Office and inventory/dealer management systems)
• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence
• Basic hands-on experience in Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of vehicles
• A basic qualification in Automobile Engineering/Technology will be considered an added advantage
• Willingness to work long hours
• Based in or willing to work in Colombo
