About the Role


Seasoned professional contributor in Supply Chain Management. May manage small projects for supply chain management. Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with major impact on Supply Chain strategies and operational goals. Responsible for making moderate improvements to supply chain management processes and systems. Works to influence other functions/vendors to support Supply Chain strategy.


Job Description
 

• Supports senior managements across Supply Chain disciplines to identify gaps in processes and implementations; Conducts root cause analysis and identifies strategies to bridge the gaps. Supports implementation of identified processes and monitors to closure.

• Supports identification of opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

• Gathers information on new vendors, sources, market, current processes and prices and seeks approval from seniors.

• Resolves escalated issues with vendors and Supply Chain management.

• Adheres to import, export, and excise regulation as per compliance.

• May manage Supply Chain processes.
  
   

Key Responsibilities

 

• Lead global sourcing initiatives across multiple categories, driving cost reduction, supply base optimization, and risk mitigation.

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and procurement goals.

• Perform detailed should-cost analysis and cost modeling to identify savings opportunities and support supplier negotiations.

• Generate, validate, and implement productivity and cost savings projects through value engineering, resourcing, and commercial optimization.

• Manage end-to-end RFQ/RFP processes, including supplier identification, bid analysis, negotiation, and award recommendations.

• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Suppliers to drive sourcing decisions and productivity initiatives.

• Analyze market trends, commodity movements, and supplier cost structures to support strategic decision-making.

• Ensure timely realization and tracking of savings commitments and project deliverables.
  
   

Required Qualifications & Skills

 

• Strong experience in Should Costing / Cost Engineering and cost breakdown analysis.

• Proven expertise in Category Management and Global Strategic Sourcing.

• Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing cost savings and productivity opportunities.

• Hands-on experience managing RFQs, supplier negotiations, and sourcing projects.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, and supply chain dynamics.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  
   

Preferred Skills

 

• Experience with SAP, Ariba, and aPriori costing tools.

• Exposure to global supplier markets and cross-functional collaboration.

• Background in HVAC, Industrial Manufacturing, Automotive, or Engineering-driven industries is preferred.
  
   

Preferred Qualifications
 

• Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience

• Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work

• University Degree or equivalent

• A minimum of 7 years prior relevant experience OR An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
