Description
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing all supply chain management activities for the organization, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory management, logistics, supplier coordination, product planning, and distribution while maintaining cost efficiency, compliance, and high service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze supply chain processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency or reduce costs, including TOR and ROP management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to the logistics process.
- Analyze customer demand forecasts to determine how much product should be produced and within what time frame as part of product planning.
- Review data on current inventory levels to identify shortages or overages, prevent LOS, and avoid obsolete inventory.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet required quality standards and can deliver products on time, including coordination with IEA, Dubai, ISA, and Accessories (MAXE SA).
- Create reports on supply chain activities, including cost analysis, distribution analysis, feasibility studies, and other operational reports.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP in line with approved procurement requirements and company procedures.
- Manage inventory levels by ordering additional supplies when required and identifying opportunities to reduce excess inventory and avoid out-of-stock situations.
- Determine the most appropriate method of transporting goods from one location to another based on time requirements, service needs, and cost considerations, including coordination with Aramex and local agents.
- Support the procurement and sourcing of local spare parts where required, including oil and lubricants.
- Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely availability and movement of products and materials.
- Monitor supply chain performance and provide timely reports and recommendations to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, inventory, logistics, and supply chain operations.
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management and Procurement or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably within the Automotive Sector.
- Strong experience as an Inventory Controller.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Well-versed in SAP systems, particularly for supply chain and Purchase Order processes.
- Very good knowledge of international contracts and commercial practices.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in an operational environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting capabilities.
- High level of integrity, ethics, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of logistics, procurement, inventory control, supplier management, and distribution processes.
