The Global Retail organisation is end-to-end responsible for the three retail segments: Private Individuals, Private Banking & Wealth Management and Business Banking. As an important pillar, ING Business Banking services 1.9 million clients ranging from Self-Employed to Midsized Corporates across 8 countries.

As a Senior Growth & Commercial Consultant, you will shape and scale value propositions and customer journeys across markets, translating customer needs into digital sales and marketing initiatives that drive measurable growth. You will work at the intersection of strategy, marketing, customer experience and commercial performance, partnering closely with country Heads of Business Banking, Global Product Leads, local marketing teams, data/insights teams, and external agencies.

You will be part of the Global Business Banking Strategy Office and report to the Global Business Banking Strategy Lead.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and scale value propositions for Entrepreneurs, SMEs and MidCorp across markets.

• Identify cross-country growth opportunities and prioritize scalable initiatives (acquisition, onboarding, cross-sell, retention, adoption).

• Translate strategy into roadmaps and measurable delivery together with local markets.

• Drive decisions on what to standardize vs localize, and scale best practices across countries.

• Ensure alignment between brand positioning and value propositions for coherent, differentiated market activation.

• Drive digital sales & marketing performance (funnel optimization, growth initiatives, churn reduction).

• Manage media/creative agency collaboration (briefs, quality, performance, learnings).

• Define success metrics and track impact (dashboards/insights → decisions; performance follow-up).

• Produce senior-ready narratives and materials for steering and decision forums.

• Align stakeholders and manage dependencies across Global Business Banking and countries.

Key skills we are looking for:

• Strong experience in digital sales and performance marketing, including funnels, conversion optimization, and growth levers.

• Demonstrated ability to build and scale propositions, journeys, or commercial initiatives across markets / business units.

• Strong affinity with entrepreneurs and SMEs, with an outside-in mindset grounded in customer needs and behaviors.

• Experience working with or managing media agencies / creative agencies, including briefing, evaluating outputs, and optimizing performance.

• Proven ability to translate customer insights and data into clear actions and measurable impact.

Personal Profile:

• Master’s degree (or equivalent experience).

• 5–8+ years experience in one or more of: business banking, growth marketing, digital sales, strategy/consulting, customer experience, proposition design, or (fin)tech environments.

• Proven experience in delivering strategic projects and preparing high-quality management information.

• Comfortable working with Excel and PowerPoint.

• Fluent in English.

What we offer

This position is based on a 40-hour working week. The position is intended as a job scale 12 or 13, ultimately depending on your qualifications and work experience. The work location is Amsterdam, Cedar.
