Description
GFL is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our growing team. We are seeking an individual with experience in the Sewer & Watermain or construction industry. The Project Coordinator will provide administration, guidance, assistance, and development to operational staff in areas of project coordination, scheduling, and execution. GFL Port Perry operates a fast paced environment with various high profile contracts running simultaneously. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare project start-up documentation (including project plans, training records, material information, traffic control plans, etc.).
- Planning & coordinating construction activities including crews and equipment.
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Working with the Operations Management Teams to ensure implementation and ongoing compliance with H&S policies and procedures.
- Create and organize project/contract information packages for Operations Team.
Maintain project management spreadsheets by entering daily units of completion.
Work with estimating and operations to ensure project scopes are monitored and updated.
Other duties to assist colleagues as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
2-3 years experience in an Operations/Project Coordination or Project assistant role in the construction or Trenchless Services industry.
- Experience with infrastructure related construction contracts.
Excellent experience with MS office or Google Suite.
Work hours –8am-5:30pm with additional hours during the busy season as required.
