Facilities Maintenance Worker II (V19) - $5,181.09 - $6,612.63per month

DEFINITION:
Under moderate supervision, performs basic tasks in the construction, alteration, maintenance and repair of City buildings, facilities and equipment and and performs related duties as assigned.

Facilities Maintenance Worker I:
This is the entry-level class in the Facility Maintenance series. These positions report to the Public Works Supervisor (Facilities) and receive daily guidance as to the work assignments to be completed. The Facilities Maintenance Worker I differs from Facility Maintenance Worker II class in that the employees in this classification tend to perform more routine facilities maintenance and repair tasks. These positions require lesser skill in the range of equipment used and have less specialized knowledge of the occupational trades and problem-solving procedures. The position may assist Facilities Maintenance Worker II positions and the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor with larger scale maintenance jobs.

Facilities Maintenance Worker II:
This is the fully qualified journey-level class in the Facility Maintenance series. This class differs from lower-level classes given its broader knowledge of occupational trades, the complexity of assigned projects, independence of action that is exercised, and the non-routine and non-recurring nature of most assignments. This classification reports to the Public Works Supervisor (Facilities) and may provide technical assistance to the Facility Maintenance Worker I in completing assignments.
