Description
- Preparation of Court orders
- Assists defendants with ADA coordination in the court room
- Develops, updates, and documents standard operating procedures and workflow processes for Superior Court.
- Prepare orders for set asides, restoration to rights, expungements and criminal history
- Manages and responds to records requests
- Provides back-up coverage as a bailiff
- Conducts legal and procedural reviews and develops workflows
- Coordinates and assists with the Judicial Performance Review (JPR)
- Support Senior Commissioners/Judges Pro Temp
- Provides back-up coverage for Judicial Assistants
- Makes travel arrangements, processes travel claims, and reconciliation statements
- Conducts weekly mail operations
- Responsible for supply management duties
- Reviews applicable statutes, rules, codes and court orders on an ongoing basis and provides timely updates and guidance to judges and court staff.
- Receives, reviews and responds to records requests
- May assist with Transcript Coordination
Essential functions of this position include but not limited to: sitting, walking, standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, bending and crawling for filing; working with and around others; dealing with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand/wrist/elbow/ shoulder) for computer work, filing, copying etc.; vision acuity (near) for computer work and reading documents; hearing and speech for ordinary conversation; finger dexterity and touch for typing.Three years progressively responsible administrative or clerical experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the positionConsiderable knowledge of:
- Court procedures, legal terminology, and legal documents
- Applicable statutes, rules, codes, and administrative orders
- Business English, spelling, and grammar
- Standard office practices
- Principles of recordkeeping and document management practices
- Recognizing and maintaining the need for confidentiality in work assignments
- Use of computers and software including AJACS, JOLTS, CMS, and Microsoft Office
- Assessing, analyzing, identifying and recommending solutions to problems
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relations
- Reviewing and processing legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Researching and interpreting legal and procedural information
