Description
Nealy Pierce has partnered with a 500+ bed acute care hospital in the Gulf South Region that is preparing for a meaningful leap forward in nursing technology, communication and professional practice. We are seeking an experienced Chief Nursing Officer who can connect innovation to the daily work of nurses and use technology to improve care, efficiency and the employee experience.
The organization is strengthening its Epic foundation, preparing mobile communication tools for nurses and developing virtual nursing and virtual sitter capabilities. The next CNO will inherit active initiatives with executive support and the opportunity to shape how they are implemented.
What You Will Advance
- Shared governance and frontline nurse involvement in practice decisions.
- Retention, staffing efficiency and a nursing strategic plan aligned with the broader organization.
- Mobile clinical communication and expanded use of nursing workflow technology.
- Virtual nursing and virtual sitter models that extend the workforce.
- Stronger nursing data, reporting and performance visibility.
Required Leadership Experience
- Successful service as an acute care hospital CNO, ideally for at least 3-5 years.
- Leadership in a large or highly complex acute care hospital setting.
- Evidence of independently delivering measurable nursing results.
- Experience implementing major change while maintaining leader and staff engagement.
- RN, BSN and an advanced degree required (MSN, MBA, MHA); DNP or PhD is a plus.
