About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Communications & Insights Specialist supports marketing initiatives, customer presentations, business insights, and campaign execution across Affinity Group Canada, Affinity Group Retail, and CDC Foods. This role combines data analysis, strategic storytelling, and project coordination to drive customer growth and support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop marketing content and support integrated marketing campaigns.
• Analyze customer, category, and industry data to identify opportunities and trends.
• Create impactful customer presentations, business reviews, and sales support materials.
• Utilize CRM platforms and industry tools such as Dataessential, Technomic, and Brizo.
• Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, and project tracking.
• Support CDC Foods and Retail Marketing initiatives.
• Assist with trade shows, events, and special projects.
Key Expectations
Marketing Communications & Strategy
• Support the execution of marketing campaigns and communications initiatives.
• Develop content that aligns with brand standards and business objectives.
• Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Customer Insights & Business Development
• Analyze customer, category, and industry data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Utilize CRM systems and industry platforms such as Datassential, Technomic, and Brizo.
• Develop customer presentations, business reviews, and strategic selling recommendations.
• Translate market insights into actionable sales opportunities.
Campaign & Project Management
• Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, and project tracking.
• Support execution of marketing plans and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
Marketing & Event Support
• Support CDC Foods and Retail Marketing initiatives.
• Assist with trade shows, customer events, and special projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth.
Qualifications
• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, analytics, or account support.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and project management skills.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with CRM systems and market intelligence tools preferred.
• Foodservice or CPG industry experience is an asset.
