Job Purpose
The Manager, Product Strategy & Performance is responsible for driving Prudential Vietnam’s product portfolio strategy, product roadmap planning, business performance management and governance across the product portfolio.
The role acts as the central coordination point between Product, Distribution, Marketing, Customer, Finance, Actuarial, Operations and Group stakeholders to ensure product initiatives are aligned with business strategy, delivered on time and achieve targeted commercial outcomes.
The position will play a key role in supporting Prudential Vietnam’s transformation towards a stronger Health and Protection proposition while optimizing portfolio profitability, customer value and distribution effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
• Develop and maintain the multi-year product roadmap aligned to business priorities and market opportunities.
• Conduct portfolio reviews and identify opportunities for growth, product enhancement, rationalization and repricing.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor developments to inform product strategy.
• Support strategic initiatives including Health & Protection expansion, affluent propositions, legacy planning and customer lifetime value initiatives.
2. Product Planning & Governance
• Own the end-to-end product planning calendar and launch roadmap.
• Coordinate cross-functional product delivery plans across Product, Actuarial, Distribution, Marketing, Operations and Technology.
• Drive Product Steering Committee governance and reporting.
• Ensure alignment between local product priorities and Group Product requirements.
3. Product Portfolio Performance
• Own monthly portfolio performance reviews and action plans.
• Monitor NBP, product mix, Health & Protection contribution, rider attachment rates, case size, conversion rates, persistency and profitability.
• Recommend portfolio interventions including repricing, product enhancements and campaigns.
• Partner with Distribution teams to optimize sales performance and product penetration.
4. Customer Value Management
• Drive maturity recapture initiatives.
• Identify cross-sell, upsell and repurchase opportunities.
• Support customer retention and lifetime value initiatives.
• Identify affluent customer opportunities and proposition enhancements.
5. Distribution Effectiveness
• Monitor product performance by channel.
• Partner with Agency and Banca teams to improve product penetration and conversion.
• Identify sales barriers and recommend corrective actions.
6. Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Management
• Prepare product strategy and performance updates for ExCo, Board and Group stakeholders.
• Support annual business planning and budgeting processes.
• Coordinate product-related requests from Group and regional teams.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in life insurance, bancassurance, consulting or financial services.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products and distribution channels.
• Experience in product strategy, portfolio management or business performance management.
• Strong analytical, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience presenting to senior executives and driving cross-functional initiatives.
