- Own headcount planning, workload distribution, and capacity/utilization across the team relative to open requisition volume
- Build recruiter career pathing, onboarding, and ongoing skills development (technical sourcing, competency-based interviewing, negotiation)
- Foster a high-accountability, data-driven team culture
Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as the primary TA partner to engineering leadership, translating org growth plans into hiring strategy and forecasts
- Build trusted relationships with hiring managers to align on role scoping, leveling, competencies, and interview design
- Advise engineering leaders on market compensation trends, talent availability, and competitive positioning
- Design rapid-scale hiring playbooks (surge sourcing, accelerated interview loops, hiring events) to stand up new engineering teams or functions quickly without compromising quality bar
- Develop geo-specific talent strategies for constrained or highly competitive labor markets, including remote/distributed hiring, relocation incentives, and alternative talent pools (bootcamps, military transition, upskilling programs)
- undefined
Operations & Metrics
- Own engineering recruiting funnel metrics: time-to-fill, time-to-offer, source mix, offer-accept rate, and pipeline conversion
- Build and maintain requisition reporting and dashboards (e.g., in Workday or ATS of record) for leadership visibility
- Drive process improvements across sourcing, screening, interview loops, and offer management to increase speed and quality of hire
- Manage vendor and agency relationships as needed, including contract recruiting resources
Programs & Innovation
- Evaluate recruiting technology and AI-enabled sourcing/screening tools to improve team efficiency
- Partner with employer branding to build engineering-specific talent attraction campaigns
- Design and scale employee referral programs specific to engineering talent
- Build competitive candidate value propositions (compensation positioning, career growth narrative, mission/product story) to win highly sought-after engineering talent against well-resourced competitors
- undefined
Required Qualifications:
- 8-10+ years of full-cycle technical/engineering recruiting experience, including 5+ years in a people-management role-leading recruiter within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record scaling engineering hiring in a high-growth or fast-paced environment, including rapidly building out new teams from the ground up
- Demonstrated success recruiting in tight or highly competitive talent markets and/or difficult geographies (e.g., limited local talent supply, high competition from established tech employers, relocation-dependent hiring)
- Deep understanding of engineering roles, leveling frameworks, and technical competencies (firmware, electrical, embedded, backend, frontend, infrastructure, ML/AI, etc.)
- Strong command of recruiting metrics, ATS platforms ( Workday), and reporting/analytics
