SEMH Teaching AssistantBS23Full-TimeASAP Start  Here at Long-Term Teachers, I am currently working with a Primary School in the BS23 area of Weston-Super-Mare who are currently seeking experienced Teaching Assistants who are confident working with Special Educational Needs.  This Primary School has a high level of SEMH needs across the school and with some of the needs of the pupils, the Head Teacher is seeking a new Teaching Assistant to join the team to support these children 1 to 1.  This school works hard to provide children with an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge they need to be successful, providing an environment which prepares our pupils for the next stage of their education. The Role  With an open position at the school, the Head Teacher is looking for Teaching Assistants who have a high level of experience working with SEMH and ASD needs.  You will be working to build strong relationships with children in the classroom, ensuring their safety but encouraging them in engagement and development with their learning.  You will be expected to: Strong positive behaviour management strategies. Work collaboratively with the Class TeacherBe calm and nurturing. Be flexible and encouraging when working with this pupil.Be adaptable with the child’s learning environment.Communicate and observe personal and learning development. Working with Long-term Teachers: We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools. LTT was founded with the aim of creating a genuine, transparent and straightforward service to help candidates secure their next role.
