Description
In plain English, they want someone to help SmartCo turn AI into a proper consulting service they can sell and deliver to clients.
Day to day, that person would probably do four things:
- Talk to clients about where AI could genuinely help their business.
- Turn those ideas into a sensible project, proposal or pilot.
- Use modern AI tools to build a quick demo or proof of concept.
- Help SmartCo package that work into repeatable services they can sell again.
So they are not looking for a pure AI engineer, and not really a strategy-only consultant either.
They want someone in the middle who can say:
“Here is the business problem, here is how AI could solve part of it, here is a quick prototype, and here is how we would turn it into a proper client engagement.”
Internally, they would also help SmartCo use AI better in its own consulting work, such as creating reports, speeding up analysis, improving proposals and automating parts of delivery.
The slightly cynical version is: they want someone who can help them win AI work, make the first version of it, and then help the delivery team make it real.
