The Senior Manager, FI&I will help define and scale the FI&I capability within FP&A, advancing how the team uses data, automation, analytics, and financial intelligence to improve forecast quality, accelerate insight generation, and support enterprise decision-making.

The Senior Manager of FI&I manages a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence. This leader is expected to bring a deep understanding of financial management and the ability to comprehend and effectively apply industry-specific metrics, ensuring the team remains agile and competitive in a dynamic, global market.

The ideal candidate is a visionary thinker who can shape and advance the FI&I strategy, while bringing the execution discipline and operational engagement needed to set clear expectations, stay connected to the work, and ensure the team delivers accurate, high-quality output in fast-paced environments

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership and FI&I Capability Building:

• Lead the team — Lead, coach, and develop Finance Analytics Solutions Partners, setting clear goals, priorities, and development plans for each team member
• Scale the job family — Own the FI&I job family: define role expectations across levels, guide career progression, and build the hiring and succession plan as the team grows.
• Set the standard — Establish the operating rhythm, analytical standards and documentation, and ways of working that make the FI&I team resilient, scalable, and consistently high-quality. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
• Advance analytics maturity — Foster the design and delivery of predictive models, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and enterprise financial models that translate business questions into scalable and repeatable analytical solutions.
• Power the forecast — Champion analytics that support FP&A's Enterprise Analytics and Operational Statistics work — forecasting, trend analysis, and core drivers such as billing days, fringe, and Protiviti burden rates.
• Drive consistency — Ensure analytics methodologies are consistent, well-documented, and applied uniformly across regions and business units.
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the finance organization, promoting a workplace culture that values diverse perspectives and ideas.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

• Manage initiatives that improve cross-functional processes and enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the FP&A team. This involves auditing current processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing best-in-class financial practices across the organization.
• Manage the integration of real-time data into financial models and decision-making frameworks, enhancing the organization's agility in responding to market changes and allowing for more dynamic financial planning.

Financial Systems, Tools & Automation:

• Build the tools — Identify and lead high value automation opportunities, including managing automation of manual reporting and analysis to release team capacity toward higher-value insight and business partnership.

• Know and protect the data — Partner with Financial Data & Analytics (FD&A), IT, and Data Governance to ensure trusted, well-defined data.

• Lead innovation — Set the FI&I innovation experience delivering automation and process-improvement initiatives that increase accuracy and efficiency.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Manage the preparation and presentation of the quarterly enterprise forecast, annual enterprise budget, monthly financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, and functional performance.
• Guide the development of sophisticated financial models and forecasting tools to evaluate business performance, client profitability, and support strategic initiatives.
• Oversee team that provides relevant information required for external disclosures, earnings releases, investor scripts, and management reporting, including fluctuation and trending analysis, forecast results, and long-term planning information as needed.
• Shape substantive analytical support to executive management as part of the quarterly earnings cycle, including helping executives understand trends and anomalies in business results to support financial regulatory activities.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities and manage initiatives to enhance tools and data analytics capabilities, improving FP&A’s ability to deliver timely and actionable financial insights.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships across the global Robert Half CFO organization.
• Manage financial due diligence efforts for strategic initiatives, providing expert financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong executive presence and storytelling ability to translate complex financial, operational, and analytical concepts into clear, high-quality executive-ready insights and recommendations.
• Strong ability to align financial strategies with business objectives. Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for driving collaboration across teams.
• Experience scaling a finance analytics, BI, or FP&A innovation capability.
• Experience developing career frameworks, or analytics talent pipelines.
• Deep understanding of financial systems, data architecture, and advanced financial analytics tools. Proficiency in financial management software and data visualization tools such as DOMO, Adaptive Insights, and Power BI.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML or generative-AI solutions in finance workflows.
• Working knowledge of analytics, automation, and query tools such as SQL, Python, or R, with the ability to guide technical work and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Demonstrated excellence with data validation, quality standards and review discipline with time sensitive deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage numerous requests and projects.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, foster innovation, and drive operational excellence.
• Ability to comprehend and effectively apply industry-specific financial metrics to drive business results.
• Strong understanding of economic and geopolitical factors that impact financial planning and analysis.
• Experience operating in a large, global, matrixed enterprise; staffing or professional-services industry a plus.
• Certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CMA are highly preferred, demonstrating a deep understanding of financial management principles and regulatory compliance.

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

$116,000.00 - $180,000.00
