Job Description

As a Security Officer - Entry Point Check in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and assist visitors and employees with professionalism. You will help maintain a welcoming environment, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns while supporting routine site operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations and concerns to designated site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, common areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs related to visitor activity, access control events, incidents, and daily post operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
