Role Overview
We are looking for a Working Student in Software Quality Assurance to help us build a culture of quality across our web-based tool ecosystem. You will work alongside our development team to validate new features, catch defects early, and help establish a sustainable automated test suite — contributing directly to tools used in high-impact semiconductor test engineering workflows. As our web-based tools grow in scope and user base, structured testing and test automation have become essential to maintaining quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing on new and existing features across our web applications.
- Develop and maintain automated tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end level using modern test frameworks.
- Document defects with clear reproduction steps and collaborate with developers on resolutions.
- Contribute to acceptance criteria and test plans for upcoming feature releases.
- Support CI pipeline health and release readiness activities.
- Participate in code reviews and team quality discussions, bringing a structured testing perspective.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for writing and maintaining test scripts.
- Hands-on experience with Git and standard software development workflows.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail — able to identify edge cases and reproduce defects reliably.
- Good written and spoken English for cross-functional collaboration across Munich and international sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial experience with test frameworks such as pytest, Playwright, Vitest, or Selenium (at least 1 framework preferred).
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and database structures for backend validation.
- Exposure to CI/CD environments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Applying Artificial Intelligence in order to increase productivity
