Compensation: CA$75,000 - CA$90,000 / year
Description
What You'll Do
- Lead the development of big content ideas from brief, ideation, execution, and deployment
- Set the creative and design direction across projects, ensuring the work is strategically strong, visually compelling, and aligned with the client’s goals
- Design and oversee the development of assets including: online publications, reports, whitepapers, ebooks, websites, page layouts, infographics, presentation decks, and campaign creative
- Lead creative reviews and provide clear, constructive direction to designers, contractors and other creative partners
- Oversee work completed by external partners across design, photography, video, motion graphics and animation
- Partner with content strategists, writers and client leads to turn strategic thinking into cohesive creative concepts
- Define project design goals, scope and creative requirements, while providing informed time and resourcing estimates
- Manage creative priorities and timelines across multiple projects, identifying risks early and keeping work moving
- Identify opportunities to improve creative processes, production efficiencies and the way we use internal and external resources
- Play a leading role in client presentations, workshops, creative reviews and new-business pitches
- Stay current on creative trends, tools, and emerging formats and bring new ideas and approaches into the work
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years art direction and design experience in an agency or publishing environment, with a strong background across digital platforms and integrated creative work
- Bonus if you have experience in video creation, editing ,storyboarding, motion graphics, animation, etc
- B2B experience is a plus
- A desire to be hands-on. You’re a designer at heart and love rolling up your sleeves
- A portfolio that demonstrates a track record of producing compelling work. Those who apply without a portfolio will not be considered
- An ability to effectively manage your time and priorities
- Strong attention to detail and design fundamentals such as hierarchy, layout, spacing and typography
- Experience in communicating and presenting your ideas, both internally and to clients.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- A degree in design is a plus
- Eligible to work in Canada
