We are looking for an organised Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team and ensure functions relating to accounts payable, including processing of invoices/credit notes, maintenance of creditor information, monthly supplier reconciliations and other duties are carried out and reconciled in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Association policy. This role is a 50/50 split between Accounts Payable and Branch Banking.
What You’ll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga
The Smooth and efficient running of All Accounts Payable Functions:
- Daily processing of invoices and credit notes
- Ensure creditor master files are created and maintained with all relevant information
- Preform monthly supplier reconciliations
- Ensure follow up of workflow items to ensure invoices/credit notes are approved in timely manner
- Actively following up unapplied credits on accounts
- Actively following up invoices placed on hold or disputed
- Answer Creditor queries as and when required and provide accurate reconciliations of Creditor accounts
Branch Banking Functions:
- Assisting Centre Network, Agents, Motoring Services and Vehicle Testing with branch banking summaries including review
- Checking daily banking
- Point of contact for banking queries
- Reconciling Motor Vehicle and Driver Licensing Registrations, noting down adjustments and communicating with Sites
- Preparing and processing journal entries
- Adhering to all daily, weekly and month end deadlines
About You | Mōu
- 1-2 years' experience in accounts or retail banking would be an advantage
- Strong computer literacy, especially with Excel spreadsheets as well as other MS Office products including Word and Outlook
- Sound knowledge of banking and reconciliation procedures
