Description
ES Talent Management are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Qualified Senior Financial Accountant to join our clients finance team on a 6-month contract basis with a very strong possibility of it becoming a permanent opportunity.
The location for this role is Dublin 22, close to the Red Cow Hotel on the Nass Road. You will be required to be onsite for 3-5 days per week.
This role will play a key part in supporting the month-end close process, statutory reporting, financial controls, and business partnering activities during a period of change and growth.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of financial operations of company and subsidiaries
- Delegation and overseeing activities staff in finance department
- Ownership of month end closing activities
- Monthly management accounts e.g., consolidated P&L, balance sheet & variance analyses
- Oversight of payroll, cashflow, monthly reconciliations, expenses, ad hoc reporting
- Filing various tax returns with all relevant authorities
- Liaise with external auditors
- Preparation of statutory accounts for subsidiaries
- Assist with the introduction of any new group processes or procedures
- Assist with the implementation of ERP system within the organisation
- Participate in ad hoc projects and provide financial analysis to senior management.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role
- Technically strong accountant
- Excellent ERP & Excel skills
- Excellent adaptability and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Experience working within a multinational or large scale organisation.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Experience supporting finance process improvement or transformation projects.
