The Production Planner is the engine that drives order accuracy, shop readiness, and material flow. Active in the daily details of order entry, Bill of Material (BOM) reviews, purchasing, and manufacturing paperwork generation, you bring a positive, winning attitude to every project. By mastering product knowledge & application, manufacturing capabilities & shop flow, and vendor configurators, you ensure orders are processed promptly and accurately, protecting gross margins while serving as a trusted partner to Quarterbacks, Scheduling, Buyers, Pricing Planning & Production. 

• Product & Order Management: Learn and apply millwork product & application knowledge, understand the ordering process flow for stock, special order & manufacturing orders. 
• Manufacturing & Purchasing Support: Generate manufacturing shop paperwork, execute requested paperwork changes, submit special order requests to buyers/vendors, review order acknowledgments with high detail, and process returns.
• BOM & Quality Assurance: Review KMFG BOMs to identify errors/discrepancies, submit orders for 100% review when needed, and assist peers with thorough order reviews. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Buyers to flag special order materials, collaborate with Scheduling on expedites, communicate with QBs, and manage specific account nuances. 
• Continuous Improvement & Mentorship: Train and mentor teammates, support development day training, assist with department SOP creation/upkeep, participate in huddles/tacticals/LSP kickoffs, and share trends with Category Managers.

• Order & Paperwork Accuracy: Zero order entry errors and discrepancies on KMFG shop floor paperwork and vendor POs. 
• Turnaround & Expedite Speed: Orders, POs, and paperwork changes processed promptly within 24-48hr commitment.  
• BOM Integrity & Quality Review: High defect-catch rate on BOMs; complete compliance with order processing standards. 
• Cross-Functional Satisfaction: High satisfaction scores and positive energy when working with QBs, Scheduling, Buyers, Category Managers & other departments.
